We recently had our house renovated by Bulgarian Building Services. I would have no hesitation in recommending Ivan to anyone seeking to renovate or for that matter build a property in Bulgaria.
We were looking to renovate our property sympathetically keeping the style and charm that first attracted us to the property. We found Ivan and his team via Craig known as chippy on the my Bulgaria forum. After lengthy discussions explaining exactly what we wanted from the renovation i.e. what our vision was and what we wished to achieve e.g. minting the integrity and character of the building, bringing the internal living quarters up to modern standards e.g. internal toilet, shower, fitted kitchen, new roof, rewiring, utilising local labour. It is very important when undertaking a project of any kind whether it be renovation or complete build to know exactly what you will get and how much it will cost. This is exactly what we got from Craig, following our discussions he listed all the work to be done and gave a fixed price with a completion date and penalty clause built in if the work was not completed on time. This was a legally binding contract. Ivan and his team started the work in late July and sent regular pictures showing the progress of the project. We visited the property in October when we had the opportunity to meet with Ivan and his team and inspect the work done to date and discuss additional work we wished to.
